Based in Didsbury, the club has some amazing sporting achievements. Julianne Courtice – a squash player, who trains and plays out of The Northern, is seeded 44th in the world and based in Manchester. Bet you didn’t know that! She recently beat a world number 10 in a championship which took place in Hong Kong.
In addition, teenager Holly Staff, who’s 16, has just won the tennis Under 18s national championship. Beating hundreds of other girls from across the country to win the title. With expert coaching she receives from the coaching team at The Northern, Holly could well be a British tennis superstar in the making.
